      ... didn't come off her face all day. James has obviously been one of the family for a while and it was just as lovely to see him so happy. The venue was lovely and all of their friends were great fun. After a small happy tear at home before the ceremony and then again while walking down the aisle to spiritualised 'ladies and gentlemen we are floating in space' the day was a lot of fun and laughter. Even Dad managed to avoid telling some bad jokes and again ...

      • Today was a very relaxing day in Hartlepool. The entire day was ours to do as we pleased when we pleased. Eddie took us for a drive and we saw about 30 wind turbines standing in the ocean several hundred meters off the coast of Hartlepool. Rather a strange sight. Went for a walk around the marina and had a coffee at a lovely wee place called Bar 516.

      ... we found that the tail wind that we'd not realised was helping us along was now blasting us in the side, luckily it was only a short distance before we turned east and it began to push us on our way. Down to Clay bank where the drop bags were, people hadn't eaten all of their goodies so I was able to take a chia charge flapjack for the next section over the Sisters of Steele. 21 miles 4 hours 20, still under 5 miles an hour.

      Whitby is not the easiest place to get to by train however the long journey is well worth the effort, whether for a fish and chip lunch, the attractive town itself or the scenery that you can admire en-route. This was also the first time that we have arrived into Whitby by train.
