... place was a mad house as it seemed like everyone from the town was in here eating dinner. Coming from Texas, it was a bit different for us to see that there were many groups of people eating at the same table with others that weren't with them. We are used to a big group eating at one table, but here it was typical to see four groups of people eating at a round table and not know each ...

Next step: Ben needs a passport. We’re now at the point where even expedited passport service is too slow, so I make an appointment with passport services. Evidently, if you need to get out of the country in 14 days or less, or need a foreign visa in 4 weeks ...

... hour in my day!! We decided to pay the $38 bucks to park in the garage since our car contains our whole life... didn't feel like risking a break-in parking on the street... Luckily the luggage compartment on the roof wasn't an inch higher or we would have had some problems... we kind of forgot it was up there.

The flight to Cairo was delayed about 30 minutes, but we made up time in the air, and I quickly make the transfer to my Lufthansa departure to Frankfurt. I feel jinxed in my air travel today ...
