Prague, Bohemia, Czech Republic chinesefutureIts sunday, its early and we have a train to catch. Our visit to the Czech Republic is coming to an end. We arrived in Prague from Bratislava on thursday afternoon. We found our hostel 'A&O' its next to Holesovice train station which was nice. The hostel is probably the best so far. Very modern, excellent underground bar, free internet, breakfast and the 3 irish girls, 2 american girls and 2 English girls in our room was the icing on the cake :-) We had a couple of drinks in the hostel th...

Ok, so we LOVED Prague. What a fab town. So glad we stayed the week here. We rented a great apt right near the Castle and Charles bridge. Couldn't get a better location. And at an unbelievable price to boot. We roamed all around the town and went for a day trip to Terezin concentration camp.

Something strange about the supermarket clerks though, all really scary large women that didn't seem to take a liking to me. Ah well.....<br ...
Prague, Bohemia, Czech Republic jamieandjason... found a huge mall (5 floors!). We just wanted to go there for the air conditioning! We then searched high and low for an internet cafe, but only found one that was opening several hours later. We decided to go for supper at T.G.I.Fridays, where Camolyn was stared at by the scariest child ever. During supper there was a huge storm outside, so we were worried about all our stuff back at the ...
Prague, Bohemia, Czech Republic mc01... home-made plum liquor, 120 proof and made by his neighbor. We slowly savored shots of the strong, warming country liquor. Suddenly, Dave leapt up. "You want to learn how to ski? We'd better do it now." I'd mentioned that I had never skied before in my life, after seeing a slope with downhill skiers, somewhere on the way to his house. Now my opportunity had arrived! We put on skis and went out into the endless moonlit snow-covered meadows surrounding the farm. It seemed like ...
Prague, Bohemia, Czech Republic stars... you do not pay an entrance fee! I went up the 287 step view of the city. It sounds like alot of steps but it wasn't too bad. Getting down the stairs was a much bigger challenge! The stairwell is spiral all the way and when coming down I was getting a little dizzy! Got some good photos though! The food and beer there was really good. Lukas, another Czech I work with , d me I have to try the Pork/Duck Red Cabbage ...
Prague, Czech Republic adventurousgalHi everyone! I really hope you're all well. I am currently in Berlin, but have only recently arrived from Prague, Czech Republic, so I need to update you all about my travels around this ancient and gothic city. It feels strange writing this and knowing that I only have one more place to see before I come home. But I'm looking forward to coming back so much and seeing everyone again. Just not really excited about the flight home now from Amsterdam...I don't like flying ...
Prague, Czech Republic tiddlywink... town for another few hours and then headed home. Meghan, Jen and I went to Don Vito Pizzeria for dinner, where I had their famous lasagna, and after, Jen sent me (over A.I.M.) 3 episodes of Gilmore Girls and 5 Grey's Anatomy. I think you know where that is going. All the while at dinner, my itunes were downloading the first 9 episodes of Grey's Anatomy, and when I got back, I gorged myself on ****** American T.V. I thought that I would go down to Juve at some point ...
Prague, Czech Republic lorybelleWell a shortish two hour flight lands me in the Czech Republic, in its capital city, Prague. Ahving heard so much about this beautiful city, i had high expectations which were all met with ease. Prague was one of the only eastern European cities to escape bombings in the war, well they almost escaped, only a misdirected bomb accidently took out a side of a public building, but no major damage ...
Prague, Czech Republic lizconnie... hot, 6ft high, gas lanterns) and for Cath and Jules to entertain Sheils' and my need to act out our family Xmas Eve tradition of hiding one small present for each person to find and open before going to bed. Mom and Dad had thoughtfully sent along the pressies for this one! Had a cozy Christmas morning, complete with hot chocolate, tangerines in Pam's smelly socks, and a number of beautiful scarves as gifts. While we didn't get snow on Christmas day ...
