... although physically demanding. I walked with Sierra/Kenobi for another 4 days or so after my last post, and we passed over the last of the High Sierras. We have been covering some serious miles over steep rocky country, clocking around 18-20 miles per day. It is a different kind of endurance that I've never dealt with before, but it is hugely rewarding and I'm loving the challenge. My legs are feeling strong and I have ditched my big hiking boots ...

... It was a Nevada State park, so you have to pay $12 for parking ($10 for Nevada residents). And it can be very crowded during weekend. The gate will be closed once the parking lot is full. So it's best to be there before 11am or after 3pm during weekends. There are however some roadside parking outside the park, but you do have to walk quite some distance to get to the park.

... Lake Tahoe county and back up into mountains and back down then up again then down etc but some scary turns with no crash barriers. Get held up by an accident further up the mountain and we see a car on a trailer being brought down with a totally caved in front - look for blood but can't see any!
