Tuesday was the next Brazil game. Julian and I hit the museo de futebol then off to Vila Madalena for the best nightlife Sao Paulo has to offer. It was off the richter. ... pay in the morning.... they told me it was going to be 189 Brazilian Reais,,,,, $95..... 60....... to wash 4 trousers, 4 tshirts, 1 pj's and some underwear!!! How ******* ridiculous!! I cried!! That is what I had just paid for 3 nights accommodation in Buenos Aries at the end of my trip in S America!!!! I argued a lot but still had to pay 150 rais... about 50!! Any donations welcome!!! xxxx

Just a few more words about Sao Paolo.
In the end it was an utterly enjoyable city. Even though it's ridiculously huge, one does not really feel that. We were staying in a little part of it called Vila Madalena, in a lovely hostel Giramondo with a super friendly owner, all the amenities were right next to it, including a street with lively nightlife.

... motorcycles-I counted how many passed by our car as we sat in traffic and it was just a bit over 100 in five minutes.

On the city tour we first visited the famous Ibirapuera park. This park was designed by world renowned Brazilian architect, Oscar Niemeyer, who, very sadly, passed away the day we arrived to Sao Paulo. He was 104 years old! His edifices are staples of modern architecture.
