      ... When we arrived at Frankfurt, Germany I was exhausted because it was the middle of the night LA time. We headed over to a public leisure area and I fell asleep. We boarded onto our next plane that endured for another 10 hours. On our second flight, I watched three more movies: monsters university (cute), Top Gun (AMAZING), and Mr. and Mrs. Smith (very interesting). I got two hours of sleep which made me very happy! ...

      ... from the end, it's gone so quickly but it has been great for us. No problems except the issue with the bikes in Milwaukee. Being first timers to the States we've learnt a hell of a lot and if there is a next time we'll do things differently in some areas and know what to expect. The American people have been welcoming from day 1 and are always keen to have a chat to us and without any exception, all have said Welcome to America.

      ... karaoke session. Marius played guitar, Tom and me were singing and Cameron was our DJ, projector dude and camera man. Fun times. Almost lost track of time.       ... route was very different to yesterday on the Big Sur and was less green and actually more barren. Highway 1 ploughed a route directly along the coast and clearly the construction engineers had fun blasting away the mountains. The photos haven't captured it well bit there was often a tiny strip of beach and there would be RVs (camper vans) lined up along it in their dozens with the occupants out surfing.
