... No response. Hmmm, I thought. Perhaps he didn't speak French? Immediately I could see that Doug was taking up more than his 50% of the table-width as this man, small as he was, sat half in the aisle. I admonished Doug to move over. But where? was the question. His left side was already up against the half wall, and being left-handed he was already having difficulty using his knife and fork. Since there was no room to move and our tablemate ...

... the architecture and inside it is stunning. It still makes me slightly teary to talk about. I also love it due to it's connection with the hunchback of Notre Dame which to me is a story that at the heart of it, is about humanity in some sense. So in this church the divine and the rawness of humanity meet-sort of like Jesus on earth; like every church but this was more so.

We had dinner and a cabaret show to finish the night. The show was decorative with rather skimpy ...

We have also checked out real estate listings in our neighbourhood and small places like our apartment are going for as much (and usually way more) ...

... originally laid out in the 1600's and was attached to the Luxembourg chateau. When we first entered the garden gates, we walked a bit down the gravel path, hearing music but not knowing where the musicians were. Then we found a beautiful leafy grove with a bandstand and a large, full orchestra playing beautiful pop/classical music. Next to the grove of trees and bandstand was a café so ...

... eggs, toast and pastries. Great tour, the guide was really interesting. He had lots of facts that I just wouldn't have known without him. Totally stuffed now, having a sandwich and an orangina, but I don't think I'll make it anywhere else as I have to catch a cab to Karin's at 1.30. I may be a little late! I'll have to do my Marais walk another day, not really the weather for it anyway. Just want to put it out there that short old ...
