... punishing them for their sins when they lost wars around the late 1800's. Since the day it was opened in the early 1900's there has always been someone in the building praying that God will forgive the sins of the world. We decided to take on the challenge of walking up to the top of the dome of the church and were well rewarded for that decision. The view was spectacular and we were able to get a better feel for the locations we visited yesterday. The stairs up and down the ...

Not very French sounding, but the entire menu is in French. Luckily there are some photographs of the meals, so we choose from them. Lunch is good and we head off to do some more walking. This is an important part of the trip, considering all the eating we are doing. Speaking of eating, one of the things on my list was to ...

... a lovely afternoon in the sun. We almost considered going down to sit on the makeshift beach but decided on a park instead. We roamed around the back streets of the rest of the island that Notre Dame is on for a bit and had a wee detour into a cupcake shop we spied with our little eye. Jason went in a bought one of the last ones in the shop and asked for a takeaway box. The girl behind the counter bagged it up very carefully and solemnly warned him to guard it with his life. ...
