    ... questions about the pieces. We would enter a room and then they would have to find a painting or sculpture based on the name or part of a cut out picture. The highlights were Cupid kissing Psyche, Death of a slave by Michelangelo, the code of Hammurabi and Chris and Madeline recreating the painting Gabrielle d'esterees and her sister. It kept Madeline interested for about 2 hours and 45 minutes and the boys for 3 hours. In all we lasted 3:30 ...

    My train arrives into Paris three hours late. I've missed my connections to Cologne and the sleeper train to Warsaw. My French holds up enough to negotiate a night in a nearby hotel, as SNCF's suggested alternative itinerary involves six changes and (given it was 12 hours ago that I'd left Barcelona) almost 30 hours of non-stop travelling.     ... didn't get. After sacre coeur our next sight was the arc de triomph and a walk down the champs élysées. We decided not to go up the top of the arc as we had planned to go up the Eiffel Tower (you don't need to do both) Surprisingly the queues for the Eiffel Tower wasn't to bad.     ... tea yet and decided it would be nice to have it in a café somewhere as it was our last night in Paris. We decided to go back to La Fourche and find a café there. We ended up in the café on the corner of the street our apartment is in. The waiter in this restaurant reminded me of Uncle Paul and he was quite nice. The police stopped the traffic on the roundabout around the Arc (well known for being the craziest traffic roundabout in the world), and we marched through untroubled to the Arc. Once in position, we played the national anthems of Germany, Australia and France in acknowledgement of the Ambassadors being in attendance.
