Shanghai

A travel blog entry by j.bennison

I had a few hours sleep and then as is the way I booked my ticket on the high speed train out of Shanghai to hefei which was quite painless for a change! The rest of the day I walked around the old town (more is missing since a few Yeats ago) they are building lots of highrise apartments there now. I am in a 'Chinese dormitary area' of the hostel …

Update: Sorry Internet, photos aren't uploading! Our three days and two nights in Shanghai flew by! Not hard too believe in such a vibrant and fast-paced city. Shanghai was marked with the feeling of a Western big city. Huge shopping areas, famous brands, and bright lights. Our second day in Shanghai we visited an area known as the French …

Well China was the place I thought I might have more issues with mainly due to the language barrier and it did prove that way but not fully because of the language barrier. To be honest when I arrived in China I was kind of ready to go home and thought it might be a long 2-3 weeks. But it turned out really enjoyable and I actually miss China a bit …

The meeting was both a first and a last -- it was my first time meeting Tiffany's mom and aunt, whom I've heard a lot about over …

Good Place, ROoms are cheap but the other stuff like the bar, the internet and the laundry seem a little high. 40, 6, 5 yuan for one beer, hour, load respectively. I am not very experinece traveler though.
