Well, it's over a year since we started our adventure and nearly 7 months since we've been back in the UK and I still look at our TravelPod entries at least once a month.

I probably should have dropped you guys a line long ago, but I just wanted to say a massive THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU for creating this site. It is the best way to keep in touch with friends and family back home.

When we went away we wanted to create journals that transported people away from their desks, their offices and the dreary British winter (we left to go travelling in November 03) and bring them to where we were, even if just for a moment. And thanks to the travel blogs and Travelpod we succeeded.

Everyone thought that the site was truly great, and we heard from lots and lots of people who told us that we did in fact achieve our goals -- one friend of Liz's used to print out our travel blogs before leaving work and then read them on the tube on her way home. She said it made her journey tolerable and she could almost smell what we smelled, see what we saw, experience what we experienced etc. She was very grateful.

So a huge and very heartfelt thank you to all the travelpod team. I've recommended this site to other people who are going away travelling because it is the best way to share all of your experiences with the ones you have loved and left back home.”
