Thursday 10th January We left Hamilton and travelled by bus to Taupo. The lake is the largest in New Zealand and is absolutely beautiful. The hostel, Sunset Lodge, is by far the nicest we've stayed in so far, and I wish we had more than one night to spend here, but I'm sure we'll be back as there's plenty more we want to see here. We went Skydiving, had a good night out with loads of people from our bus. Played a game of mini golf with 10 of us (5 girls v 5 boys, boys won!!!) Went to pizza hut and had an all you can eat! The waitress messed up the order and we had lots off free stuff because she didnt include it on! Then we went out again...

After a stop at the Taupo Bungy for James to take a jump, we arrived in Taupo in rain like stair-rods, and it continued throughout our stay. We didn't see the place, just got dropped off at The Warehouse for some shopping and ran back to the motel drenched.

After New Plymouth I went to Taupo, another adventure town of NZ. This one mostly for highflying activities. It should be the cheapest place in NZ to go skydiving. I don't know. You can imagine how everyone felt this morning after all we did all only get 3 hours sleep. Self inflicted I suppose! The bus drove in complete silence all the way to the Huka (foam) Falls, situated on the Waikato (foaming water) River.
