Howdy folks.... I have actually left Kanchanaburi now, but what a week! It started badly, to be honest.....i was in quite a deep fever on the train to Bangkok to Kanchanaburi, not helped by the rididculous heat and the very basic conditions. You couldn't choose a class on this particular train, so all of the "air conditioning" was by fan alone. ...

Day 219 Thur 15th June 2006 Making the move to Kanchanaburi I was on a mission this morning! After getting to bed at 5am I managed to get up at 9am (pretty good start!). Kanchanaburi is a three hour drive away from Bangkok, in central Thailand. It is a mountainous jungle area. Its is really nice and there is lots to do here.
