Hate to think that so much has passed with so little time left here. The Mozambican people may be poor by our standards, but they are very rich in the things that really matter---faith, family and friends.
... they had. Each group was extremely happy and thankful as they came forward with their offerings. For all of us from America it was a very happy as well as humbling experience. The entire service usually lasts about 3 to 3 1/2 hours. Earlier this week, a missionary shared with us the following comment: "It seems that the Europeans and the Americans have the clocks and the watches, but the Africans have the time." After this morning's service, I agree.
... are the highlight of our mission trips; they bring us together as a team. I strongly suspect that this sets AUMC apart from other mission teams.

... see this little baby in an orphanage, it is such a blessing to see how each child cares for one another. Whether it be a ten year old bringing prince to me or the children holding each other's hands as they walk, it is apparent that they have created their own family.
As Mo said at devotion tonight, "here I am God; what do I do next?" I cannot wait for what this next week has in store!!

There is a pigsty with the cutest little piglets close by. We fed them our pineapple peels which they guzzled down happily.
We booked an Ocean Safari on two days, each time being told the weather wasn't suitable. Big swell and wind apparently are not good for snorkeling, let alone spotting the whale sharks to snorkel with. We were both disappointed, as the excursion came ...
