... The smell was almost unbearable even after a month
of getting accustomed to wafts of sewers and rotting food, a sweet
perfume of fish and faeces with top notes of stale sweat (and that

They had just arrived, and the only reason i am mentioning them is he had a pretty cool job!
Basically, he gets paid by the US military to travel to travel to loads of different countries, to learn some about their cultures, see the attractions , and as he put it " have fun and get drunk".
