... it - if they ask. I gather there is a license fee for snorkelling and she is lending me hers so I don't have to pay. What a sweetie. I hand it back, telling her it might get it wet and can I leave it here. She smiles and nods her head.

The snorkelling was actually quite good. About 100 metres offshore there is a sandy bottom with bus sized lumps of coral, most of it living. There are large fish too, and some colourful smaller ones.

I return to the restaurant ...

... are few if any restaurants - if one wants food there is a group of kiosks along the beach. Even the resorts themselves are small - most of the tourists bus in for the day only from Cebu city and then bus back home. Hence, we were advised to get up early, around 6AM, and hit the water before the crowds made it down from Cebu city.

... Our room was nice but basic with only cold water but had a balcony looking over the beach and out to the sea and the room price included 3 meals per day, which were actually a decent quality and a good selection.

On our first day we went snorkelling to find the giant sea turtles and we were not disappointed, after about 10 minutes we found our first turtle and about four more after that.They were amazing to watch and we followed them around for ages.The ...

... here which is very inconvenient.  Today was spent wandering around the city. We started in the morning following the shoreline walkway around the bay. Lots of activity along the road but not too many people on the walkway and very few boats in the water. ... br> Due to photography I decided to just watch these giant creatures.

We got into a banka and within 10min we were close to 3shark whales. They eat fish and very friendly. Tons of fishermen were feeding them for them to come close to all boats. It was very sad to see how they were getting captured by the fishermen.
