One of Ricks specialities is tracking, which with so few wilderness areas left, is becoming a rare skill. His senses are so heightened, he hears the faintest noise, a twig snap, a breeze rustling the leaves of a bush as the wind changes direction. He can smell if lion or hyena have been here and his eye sight is razor ...

We saw three large crocs at various times alongside the boat. Bird sightings included woolly necked storks, yellow billed kite, fish eagle, weaver birds, swallows, swifts and gulls. After lunch back at the flat we drove to the estuary mouth. You can walk along a boardwalk to the beach and the ...

... on boma. Picked up cleaner (was meant to be yesterday but didn't because of the emergency at the Boma) Saw 3 yellow billed Hornbills in tree. Back to camp just before 10. Tried to load photos onto laptop but didn't work. Gave up and deleted SD card once photos on iPad. Philip asked for a hand making wall (fixing up hole/gate in fence so there was no gate). His first nail pinged of about 2 metres! Missed me just! Then the nails kept bending. I suggested ...
