    Well last night was a lot of fun. Picked up Pedro and Carlos around 7pm and taken to the restaurant booked by our agents Audley Travel. This, as I mentioned yesterday, is what they refer to out here as a barbecue restaurant where they have a splendid array of salads which you help yourself to and then the waiters bring to your table a variety of meats of different cuts.     ... up the mountain, but alas it was a 3hr wait - so ended up taking one of the many vans up. Very crowded once you get there...and it was extremely hot and humid, but had fantastic views overseeing the whole of Rio and beyond. The statue is made of concrete and stands about 38m high. There is a temple directly under the base of the statue. So now we can check it off our list...been there done that!
    Traveled back down the winding road in time for an afternoon sunset ...
