... at 2pm and got back at 5.30pm. The driver dropped us off at Tianjin East Station and we got a half hour train ride to Beijing South Station. I am now booked into the Friendship Hotel for the next week, working in the Beijing office Monday-Wednesday, and then Thursday-Saturday on May Day Holiday, and then Will and I travel to Nanjing on Sunday to meet the AQM team as it is a work day (complete with some of the contents of Will's flat for his relocation to ...

After that it was ok to take pics of the white people and we had to sit a while as they all took photos of us. This made the kids crack up. Finally with tummies growling it was time for lunch. We had chicken soup. Which was a whole chicken thrown into a ...

... quiet with no normal clatter of train tracks. Must admit I did not take in much of the scenery as busy trying to capture some of the things we have done here! Arriving at qinhuangdao was a shock. I was expecting a tiny coastal town. Duh! This is china you dork, with a population of how many! Anyway my tiny coastal town has a population of 3 million so is roughly 3 times the size of Auckland although crammed ...
