... without much of a hitch. I did however have to endure a phone recording of the emigration officer's 12 year old son, quoting some scene from Ice age 2. Flight tickets where bought at a legitimate site and Xiamen air is a really good airline. Everything is good except the 9 hours layover but we catch a taxi to Wanda plaza Mall and go watch "hunger games 3" and have lunch at a Turkish restaurant. ... a desolate city would be quiet and tranquil. This, however, is not the case! All is a big build up to the final hours before the new year. The city is cover in a hazy cloud of smoke. ... and then we went on a school trip! Our first stop was 外婆家 (Grandma's House), a well known restaurant in InCity, where our teacher ordered us some traditional dishes for lunch. ... just before we paid our bill a rat scurried across the restaurant! As it was still quite early we decided to go to KTV for a bit, and after wandering round the city for a while because the first place we tried seemed to have closed down we made use of our bus passes to get to Wanda Plaza where there were several options.
