Dehang
... the valley past rice paddies and canyons to a waterfall and then atop a hill to look out over the valley. Unfortunately it was misty so didn't see much. My guide dogs didn't leave me until we arrived safely back in town.
The second day I climbed Pangu peak and then went up the Jiulongxi valley to see the largest waterfall in China - Liusha. Walked in behind it and got soaked.

Down one alley I found an all-you-can-eat with 18 dishes on a cart and hoards of people loading up styrofoam containers with food for 10RMB ($1.50). Some were even going back for refills and then filling one last time on the way out and walking away with a container full of takeaway! It's a crazy free-for-all here.

... What happened next made us incredibly glad we'd set off early - it's not really something you can plan for! About 2 hours into the journey a police man flagged the bus down bringing us to a stop in the middle of the road just in time for us to lean into the aisle and see....the road blow up in front of us! Seriously you can't make this stuff up. So this prompted a 2 hour wait in the middle of nowhere with the time ticking down to our next bus leaving Huai Hua without us! ...
