    ... towards Perth. The views of Perth were impressive. And then on to Dundee. I had been to Dundee for a day back in 1997 so as I passed it, it had a familiarity about it. I stopped to take some photos of the rail bridge and the Firth of Tay. Again a kind of mini nostalgia feeling came over me for a while. I not felt that I was starting to stray from where I had been before as I headed towards Arbroath.

    ... I have to admit that I quite love formal European gardens that are a work of architecture imposed upon nature even though many people hate them. But I also love the semi-natural British style of garden with its open parks and especially its wide borders of flowering perennials. Leith’s garden walks between the perennial borders are spectacular, and I’ve noticed Scottish gardens tend to favor mostly cool colors – lots of blues and purples in the flowers ...

    At 8pm our time, I had the shocking experience of seeing my sister just woken up. It was a very sleepy girl with wild hair!

    But I had to forgive her! It was her biiirrfffday! She is 16 now!

    It's only a new number, but the thought that she will be 17 when I get back freaks me out just a wee bit
