Tonight we will celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary with dinner and drinks in the local pub. A shout out to all our friends and family, we love you. Today was the day we had planned for exploring Aberdeen on foot, but it was raining, windy and oh so miserable. We drove into town, parked and walked around a bit. I bought a pair of (tartan) gloves it was so cold. We got wet, had lunch and came home. I did ...

It was expected that being away for almost a year was going to bring some sadness.

    It did.

I went for about three days there where I didn't want to do anything and all I wanted was home cooked soup and tomatoes. And line-dried washing. And the beach. And not to carry my shopping home. And not to be up at 5am every morning.

I'm pleased to say I'm out of it now, but it really does remind you ...
