It was well worth it as the view is most likely the same one that we saw in all the photos-the leaves were just starting to change color and in a couple more weeks would have been spectacular. While the boys were getting their hands dirty, Charlotte & I used the last of the light to get a few more shots. We were lucky that the 'Man in a Tie' made an appearance and was happy to pose for a photo for the bingo card! And the shop in the garage revealed some more goodies for photos, too!

We looked for a place for a picnic, but none to be found and it is quite black with clouds so we head down a gravel, maybe a shortcut, road to the bottom. We stop on a cement wall and have our lunch while watching the horse carriages come and go taking visitors to the top.

It is so wonderful to be trekking around such beautiful countryside.

After our tour we drove to Kempten and stayed at the Peterhof downtown. This was our first room with a tv...all German stations, of course!
