    ... and a designated group table, we got to try a wonderful array of Chinese dishes on our journey. A Captains welcome party, karaoke party, playing Mah Jong on a super whizzy electronic table and an excursion to see a local village performance kept us entertained during our cruise.     ... as the stage. There were around 600 performers involved in the production. An impressive start as the surrounding mountains were lit up to provide the backdrop. Lots of colourful lighting, dramatic music and beautifully dressed performers. One scene had red material stretched from one side of the area to the other and over a hundred performers, standing on rafts, raised and lowered it in time to the dramatic music.     Highlights Yangshuo. Basically a tourist town but well done, it's set amongst limestone karsts that get lit up at night. There's a walking street that runs through the heart of the town which is nice to explore and find some food stalls and souvenirs. It's a much nicer place than Guilin however it comes at a price.
