      Yangshuo was the place in China we finally got to relax and unwind. The past couple of weeks, although exciting, have been really busy and exhausting. It was a nice change to sit back and escape to a retreat - the Yangshuo Phoenix Pagoda.       ... using the hotel we might have to pay up to ten times that amount. I cannot do justice with my words to the amazing landscape we drove through on the way to Yangshuo. The Limestone Karst landscape was mind blowing. There are literally hundreds and hundreds of these limestone peaks jutting out of the ground.       Amy arranged for us to take a calligraphy class in town at Peony Painting Center. Lilly our teacher met us at the park in town and then took us to her little shop. It is a combination studio, antique shop and art gallery. Her husband, Yang Dong Bao teaches Taiji. He had a most impressive array of swords that he was proud to show off (see photo).
