... the castle. Unfortunately it was not open, but you could still stroll around the fort bits on the hillside. Pretty impressive and nice for a wander. Again on such a beautiful sunny day, we were spoilt with views. Managed to spot another seal in the water aswell!

From here it was time to head home, but what a lovely few days of winter Cornish sun!

... From here we decided to head back and to our delight, the seals were still there! We got comfty for the show and watched again as they played and provided us with plenty entertainment.

From Lands End we drove the scenic route around the coast to St Ives. We strolled through the lovely streets and cobbled lanes until we emerged on the seafront. It's very picturesque here with a large sandy harbour and a beautiful sandy beach backed by sand dunes in the bay ...

We then made our way to St Ives where we had booked our last minute stay. It was right out the back up a tiny rural lane leading to some old farmhouses. We were staying in a little cottage which had been converted from cattle sheds. Very quaint, stone and beams, with a proper fireplace! We ventured into St Ives for dinner, settling on an extremely tasty Mexican. Mmm mojitos, nachos and fajitas!

People ask if six weeks in India and Nepal has changed us. I think the answer is yes, but probably not as much as we thought it might. Certainly, we have experienced much and learned much; we have had an amazing time and enjoyed (nearly) every minute. We have seen the sights: forts, temples and great palaces and magnificent buildings, but it is the people of India who have impressed us most, both on an individual level and en masse.

      En masse is certainly ...

      Mousehole and Penzance

We have always wanted to go to Mousehole - pronounced Mowzul. It is a lovely seaside village. We met a very nice pewter artist, Paul Spenser who made some great jewelry. After a nice walk around the village, we drove along the seashore to Penzance. We had been there two years ago but didn't see much of it. We parked in the city centre and asked a local about a good lunch place. We ate at The Vault, which has fresh fish ...
