... my target of 2000, which will go towards building better homes for people living in slums. I have also contributed a considerable amount of my own money to cover what I would call the holiday part of this trip. So if you see me sitting back and enjoying a beer or two then be sure that this was not due to your generous donation! My travel blog will begin on Friday when I arrive in Kathmandu. Wish me luck and I will keep you posted as often as wifi allows me. Until then wrap up out there!!! ...

A fantastic week with Rod and Jude. Great to catch up with Mike and Barbara and Maesy. The weather was great considering the time of the year albeit misty in the mornings. We had a couple of exhilarating sessions body boarding and a lovely walk from Zennor back to St Ives although can't say I liked the cows!! Journey back to Bristol was good and it was lovely to see Mr. Crofts in Porth just outside ...

PORTUGAL - SURF SURF AND GREAT PEOPLE!

My big trip has begun! Well actually it has been going on for almost 14 days already. Because of Portugal. But it felt kinda strange because I came back to home again. So i guess it was more a holiday to get in the mood for the big trip :-) But now I am really away and it just got to me that i won’t see most of my family and friends for 6,5 months…. But you gotta make sacrifices to enjoy to the max!

After a relaxing start we decided to go to Poldhu beach not far from the Lizard peninsula. Dad and I decided the bikes needed some use having being driven all the down here so we pulled on our Lycra and clipped on our helmets and set off up and down hills to find the sea closely followed by the other three in the car. Dad and I arrived slightly earlier and sat enjoying the sea air with dad enjoying his 'best coffee ever'. Not long ...

After a rather slow morning we made it out of the house to go and discover Godrevy beach which much to mum and dads delight had a national trust car park! (We're members so that means free parking!) after a tiring car journey we were all starving so lunch was needed. It was rather windy so we all rushed out of the car to the cafe and grabbed a rarely available table ...
