Cromwell for a delicious lunch, then to Wanaka. I had found a very highly rated backpacker place. We went there and it was a perfect location, but sadly full. Off to i-Site, who found us 2 en-suite rooms in Base. Only 2 streets back from the lake. It was OK, but very corporate for a backpacker's place.

This morning Byron, Cody, Todd, Clare, Jane and Tony were all ready to go to the Rippon Vineyards to start their Security work at the Music Festival. We whizzed off into the blue skies of Wanaka, with a pilot called Peter. It was a little bit bumpy on the way to see the lake from overhead.
