... ride up to the top of the glacier (The only way you can access the glacier). Neither of us had been in a helicopter before so that alone was amazing. We flew over the rainforest before landing on the ice itself where our three hour hike would begin. The guide led the group of nine of us over the ice stopping to look at massive caverns and we even managed to climb through a little tunnel. It was a pretty amazing experience, something that we'll probably never get the chance to ...

... top of Bob's peak. We had two fun rides. It was Easter weekend with lots of people. From Bob's peak there are great views of the Remarkable Mountains, Lake Wakapitu, Coronet's Peak and Walter's Peak. Our drive to Wanaka included a stop at Arrowtown. A tourist trap of ...

This move to Arthur's Point was only necessary because we could not book another night in the Novo Hotel, Queenstown. However, will explain later. The weather this morning was quite untypical, it was raining quite heavy at times, very windy and it felt cold. We decided to travel to Glenorchy, about 50k to the head of Lake Wakatipu. This was lovely drive, made better because the sun came out - ...

... which has been voted the #1 place to do a skydive anywhere in the world by Lonely Planet. Carpe diem, non?! *NB - any jump over 14.000 feet requires you to take oxygen - so breathing masks at the ready! Thankfully once you get to Wanaka airport and the skydive centre, they don't keep you waiting around long-which was good after seeing a girl running to be sick with nerves! The short wait definitely helps with reducing nerves and backing out. We were quickly ...
