We left just after 8 am to tackle the last two locks in the Champlain Canal and the Federal Lock at Troy. We did still stop at Lock One Marina for diesel, and he filled us up so quickly we were even still able to make it through Lock 1 with the other sailboat Callipyge we had been traveling ...

... very tiny, and a Groundhog at the edge of the garden who loved the fallen apples, of which there were many-no wonder it had a fat rear end..... They also have been visited by the odd bear but we didn"t see one.

So all in all it was fantastic for Mary to see where her relative live and to spend time with them. And for both of us to have the time to explore the area, with expert tour guides. A big thank you to Tricia and ...
