      ... is jam packed with tourists in the summer. We've seen the photos. But now everyone is recovering and staying in and waiting for the tourists to start coming back in the spring. We went for a long walk today and the cobblestone streets and steps were empty. That made for good photos It was 62 again today and we contemplated going swimming, but didn't have our suits and towels handy.

      ... for most of the boats (except one which was utterly disrespectful) and lead to a very quiet night. The boat which was affected ended up cancelling the rest of their sail, and were seen with their bags on the docks waiting to be picked up. It was such an unfortunate incident, which could've happened to any one of us that was travelling on these boats. Alas, we couldn't allow it to put a dampener on our trip.

      ... We walked up many many stairs to get up there, but when we arrived the fortress was closing, so they wouldn't let us in! We got some amazing views of the town and other islands nearby though, before making our way back down the stairs into town. When we got to the bottom, a whole bunch of people decided to go around to the beach for a swim, but we wanted to look around the town a bit, so we went with a group of four people from French Canada for a walk down the square ...

      The Blue Cave is a natural phenomenon made up of a cave on a small island off of Vis with an eery bright blue light in it. You can drive a small boat into through an opening, and once you go around a corner you are in a cave, but the cave has an opening under the water level through which sunshine hitting the water outside the cave make the entire inside glow with the gorgeous blue of the Adriatic.       ... is semi-circular and has 2 entrances. Most people swam into one, and round the cave for a few minutes and then out of the other entrance. The cave itself was quite spectacular - quite large, there was lots of room for all the swimmers, and quite green - hence the name. Sadly I don't have any photos of the inside of the cave as I don't have a waterproof camera.
