... the offseason price for the meal and wine was under $15 for 2 people.

We went to a maritime museum in the fort on the hill. It was simple but had a nice display about an Austrian passenger line (The Baron Gautsch) that was destroyed in the early days of WW1. We spent the next 7.5 hours on the bus heading to Rijeka. We had a few small breaks but we were both pretty over it after 6 hours. We finally arrived in Rijeka at 8.30pm and it was a massive relief to get off the bus. We got a 10 minute cab ride to our accommodation and checked in. We were staying at Hostel River, not the ...

... car. The bus didn't come after an hour so we got a taxi , no big deal as it was raining anyway. By the time we picked up our car the sun was out and ***********. Garry was in control again once he had wheels and driving a brand new Ford focus .( think ?) We visited the town of Motovun first ,famous for its truffles and oils . To be honest the smell of the truffles in this town made us both ...
