We zijn vertrokken
... hadden we een overnachting gereserveerd. Prachtig. Een klein kerkje omgebouwd tot een gite. Daar werden we opgewacht. Frank, de schoonzoon van mijn broer zorgde voor een stevige barbeque op de openhaard waar vroeger het altaar stond. Vrouw Hilde en de dochters zorgden voor een uitstekend gedekte tafel.

In the midlle of nowhere staat daar een ongelooflijk grote basiliek , waar een tiental grote bedevaarten per jaar plaats vinden . De foto hiervan zal je een indruk geven van dit gebouw.
Buiten deze basiliek stonden er misschien maar 50 huizen , alles was daar in dienst van de basiliek...Volgens een lokale bron, zijn het voornamelijk Portugezen die hier op bedevaart komen.
