... left the next morning but the boy and the teacher stayed in the cellar for 30 days. The amazing thing was that it was a true story. Only the boy is still alive and still lives in Bastogne. He lost his parents during the bombing. The town was ruined but they have rebuilt it. We spent over three hours following their stories. It really was very cleverly done. Tomorrow we drive back to Brussels and take the car back. We leave on Monday at ...

I’ve had a fantastic few days with Louise, living a real Belgium life haha. We arrived back from her sister’s on Monday evening and spent Tuesday morning playing with her little chicken and exploring her backyard.

On Tuesday afternoon we took a ...

... dry meat that Niokli (the brother in-law brought back with him). One has cheese, one nuts, one alcohol and one is wild boar. This is joined by some cheese and pesto on crackers. Delicious!

For dinner we have a local speciality, which is basically meatballs in a special local sauce. It was very tasty, sweet. All of this was of course washed down with different Belgium beers and a win by the team!
