"Agadir, in Berber language "fortified granary", was founded in 1505 by the Portuguese. Totally destroyed by an earthquake in 1960, the city has been rebuilt with mandatory seismic standards. It is now the largest seaside resort in Morocco, known for its unusually mild year-round climate. The population is estimated to be in the region of 600'000 inhabitants."

A few of us returned to the villa early, I took a nap in the sun before showering ready the BBQ tonight. ... we would use salt and pepper). By 11.30 and after a music fuelled bus ride we were on '17km beach' with the other 'surf pros'. Our instructors Red and Yosef are fantastic! Such a good laugh. After some basic practice on the beach we headed into the sea. A few failed attempts later... I pushed up from my board and before I realised what I was doing... I was standing! A surfing pro may be made of me yet! This thought came to a ...
