Today we spent the day leaning about Assisi and wondering around the town. Daniela was a great tour guide and shared many interesting facts about St. Francis. We began our tour outside the walls at the Hermitage,which is the site of a 14th century convent. It is still occupied by Franciscan friars. ... Assisi, about 3 hours north. We stopped for lunch in Spoletto, home to a summer music festival. We are staying in a lovely bed and breakfast about 5 miles from Assisi, with incredible views of the town. After resting a few hours, we're now off to have dinner and explore the town.
