Back in the car and on our way to Montepulciano Grant says… “Ok.. I think we are in Tuscany and the sun is shining… does that mean we can leave now?” Show this guy a movie with anything Italian and forever it will be quoted back to you! (For those who haven't seen it... Under the Tuscan Sun was the reference!).

... At least as comfortable as I can be around spiders, mosquitos, scorpions and hay dust! Still a mid-size town girl. I have made myself as useful as possible for the less dusty chores, taking on the dishes and giving them a break from hosting and serving every evening. Ali is the head cook and is a force of nature, so any attempts to help prepare food are pathetic. She's offered to let me make a meal at least once before I go, and meanwhile I am enjoying ...

We arrived in time to wander the streets, visit the cathedral and then have some lunch. The cathedral dominates the square and rises up and dwarfs other buildings which surround it.
