Today we left Monaco for Grenoble . The day started with a stop in Grasse. Grasse is the centre of perfume making in France. We visited Fragonard to see how perfume is made and then purchase. Bruce and I had been to Fragonard on a previous trip so this made it fairly simple to choose the perfume at the end that I might like to purchase - I chose the same one I liked ...

Never the less the pools were magnificent and warm. We also gave the steam baths (Hammam) and the saunas a flogging too.

Next stop was the Faure Museum, coincidentally right next door to our hotel. This museum holds France's 2nd largest collection of Rodin sculptures ...

A few side notes

A travel blog entry by garth_family on Jun 19, 2014

... was worth the effort. 4. Traffic is a ***** on the Cote de Azure. Poor Fred spent way too much time behind the wheel today, creeping along from St. Tropez past Cannes and Nice and slowly into Monte Carlo. Monte Carlo was spectacular and well worth the time spent in the car, but it was a long day. We are very much looking forward to spending a week at Spannochia and relaxing a ...
