Interesting observations so far:
There are lots of long distance coach buses ...
... inside the floor is sloping, if it was a hill you could walk along it just fine but because you brain sees a normal corridor you can't make your legs do the walking on a slope thing. It was just like being drunk, I was literally bouncing of the walls. There was a few others in there as well, just like being on a fairground...but cheaper!!!
So I'm now in France, this will be my last country on this trip unless I hit Belgium to visit a mate.
... a bed and breakfast called "A l'Ombre du Palais", which means "in the Shadow of the Palace"...and that it is. We are just beside Le Palais des Papes (Palace of Popes) built in the 1300's Oh yes, we also went for a ride on a carousel! We couldn't help ourselves We watched a spectacular light show inside the palace that described the origins of the area and the palace. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Palais_des _Papes Haven't decided what do to yet tomorrow, will figure it out in the morning ...
So Josiane was happy to bring us around today as she loves the sights as well. She first brought us to St.-Antoine l'Abbaye...a quiant little village with a magnificent church. Yes, I took a million pictures. It was built in the 1100's. We then travelled throughout the gorgeous countryside, we were able to see Vercors from yesterday and we could slightly ...
... showed us her childhood home and the area her entire family lived. We finished off the day with a nice dinner with Josiane and Phillip. They are great company! They love Sonia's French expressions...they say she either speaks old world French or expressions they have never heard before....every once and a while they burst out laughing at something she has said! Me, they just feel sorry for me because I'm always searching for words. My brain to mouth French processing speed is still ...
