So it was pack up and ship out day for us on Tuesday 3rd September. After more Monday shopping (Daemon, you said you wouldn't...) and some go-carting, Graeme went to the athletes' closing ceremony and dinner, swapping a much-coveted-by-all-the-other-athletes 2XU training shirt for a Canadian team bike jacket - cool! The next day, we woke up and took our time doing everything. Time for another lazy day. We sorted our rucksacks out ready for the flight to Calgary and spent a bit of time wandering around the waterfront too. We're going to miss having time to do nothing in a few weeks, because soon it'll be non-stop action all the way to New Zealand!

... to watch. This was very entertaining. They did axe throwing, standing block chopping, tall tree climbing and more - so good.

From here we had lunch of bbq chicken burgers and chips. Filled the spot nicely.

On to the birds in motion show. They had a bald eagle, a turkey vulture, a horned owl and a falcon. Their displays of flight were quite amazing. There was a bit of excitement when a wild eagle joined the ...
