... time we get there the bride and groom had already left, the rest of the guests are heavily drunk and dancing hard. We stop for a few minutes and then continue to the night market to see vendors selling local food from such exotic ingredients as insects, mice, eggs with developed chicken embryo inside. After sightseeing we have our dinner at BBQ restaurant. The food is served with spicy sauces and tastes good with the wine.

... Switzerland a couple years ago! I was so grateful to have made it to the top of this hill.

Eventually, we had climbed high enough that we were near the top of the mountains and the views were spectacular! We arrived in Luang Namtha after driving on the worst road I have ever seen on the way up from Luang Prabang. ... on stilts, they were about the size of a 1-2 man tent. Apparently this is where the bachelors live, there must be a lot of bachelors in the village because there were a lot of these huts. When he first asked us to guess what they were we said rice stores. Some of them would have had a great view when they opened their doors in the morning though, as they had no other huts blocking their way.
