... to find water and our next gate. Dan had his first literal "eye opening" experience when he picked up a water bottle and looked at the price, close to four euros… nearly eight dollars for a bottle of water. I reassured him it would be fine, because beer is 1/3 of the price, so whenever we are thirsty, beer will have to do!

Before we knew it we were up in the air on our connecting flight taking us to our first destination, London! The flight was 1hr40min, ...

In fact they were doing the same thing at lunchtime too when were going to the Harry Potter world - I reckon that not much work goes on in this city in summer on a Friday afternoon. ... to my attention this week that Britain has a problem. This country is obsessed with baked beans. Fair enough, Julie and I went to a café for breakfast this morning and there were beans on pretty much every item. Baked beans are a breakfast food. But at KFC? No coleslaw on the menu, your options are chips or baked beans. On baked potatoes. No cheese and bacon, no its baked beans inside the potato. On their steaks. I am not even joking, in pubs, on steaks, where ...

Circus of horrors and a free peep show...

A travel blog entry by rebecca.taylor on Jan 14, 2014

I saw a sign at my sandwich shop for a circus of horrors in Wimbledon, so I looked it up online and saw that it covered parts of London's macabre past- well I was sold and roped Claire and Kristy into coming with me.

They both met me up in Wimbledon at 6pm and we headed for dinner at the local Thai restaurant. I had me a few glasses of wine ...
