... building, don't think we could have gone out hunting for somewhere for dinner. It was hot again today, another 29C day, with high humidity. Started off with a beer of course, Diana (host) also slipped us some Slivovitz! Bloody hell, that is quite some firewater, Lana was going to tip her's in the garden then drank it all! Actually it is quite nice once you got your taste buds around it. But dinner was tremendous, a fantastic menu so I had venison and Lana ...

... cars, trucks, semi's, tractors, it was a bit scary! Then we had a long, long downhill through dark pine forest on said same road, scarier still as it was so dark and maniacal drivers wanted to pass us!!! The limestone cliffs each side were massive, but we could only just see them as they are covered in what looks like temperate ...

I enjoyed this 1955 film, which was directed by the famous Czech director Karel Zeman. It was about four young boys who travelled by boat back through prehistoric times. They witnessed wooly mammoths in the Ice Age and trilobites in the Paleozoic era. This film was cutting edge when it was released. Zeman used 3D models ...

KUTNA HORA - Church of Bones

First stop, Kutna Hora. UNESCO World Heritage listed. The small church on a cemetery houses a gazilion human bones. People in the kingdom of Bohemia and Moravia just wanted to be buried there. With too many bones, and cremation not an option back in those days, the resourceful Czechs found a solution: make chandeliers and church interior decors with human bones. Yes, it's ...
