I went to this hotel a couple of years ago and still cannot forget it. A few of the things I experienced : the hot tubs were empty, there was a blackout for almost 12 hrs, there was a beach across the street, but nothing I couldnt have seen where I live in NYC, gross food and poor location!

We very much enjoyed our stay at the Tres Palmas Inn. It has a wonderful Bed and Breakfast charm, excellent service and amenities, central location and a beach across the street! We found the rates to be very reasonable and would highly recommend the Tres Palmas Inn!
Avoid like the Plague, the pictures are decieving

When we first pulled up to Tres Palmas, we thought, "Oh, how charming!" We were grossly mistaken by time we entered our room. It was filthy, bare exposed wires, shabby furniture, a flea-bitten looking bed, and rust, yes rust, DRIPPING down the shower. We got out of there as fast as we could and found better lodging elsewhere. I hate to see anyone else's dreams dashed at this place, so do yourself a favor and stay elsewhere!
Loved the Tres Palmas Inn

I loved the Tres Palmas Inn in San Juan, Puerto Rico! The "Bed and Breakfast" atmosphere was a very welcome change from that of the large and impersonal hotel chains. The amenities and the service were great. The location (10 minutes from the airport, 10 minutes from Old San Juan, and across the street from the beach) was very convenient. Finally, the rates were extremely reasonable. I highly recommend the Tres Palmas Inn!
Would never stay there again.

There's a reason why you can't find any pictures of the rooms on their web-site. We had to stay in 2 different rooms during our trip and both were pretty nasty. The breakfasts were sub-par. Also the location of the hotel was less than optimal. There is a beach across the street, but it's really not kept in any condition for swimming or sunning.
Also, getting to any of the other local attractions is difficult. You either need a rental car, can take a taxi (~$15 to Old San Juan) or take the bus. I've been to other small hotels in the area before and they were all miles above this place. For the most part the staff was friendly and helpful, but I'd advise looking around a bit more before deciding on this place.
The price is right!

It's a clean and friendly place. However, it has little to no beach (across the street.) No food, drink, or casino within walking distance.
Pric is worth it!

Stayed at Tres Palms in February 2003 3 days before leaving for a cruise. I found the Tres Palms to be 1) Rooms clean, but small, but, you don't spend all your time in the room. 2)Staff is bilingual,no communication problems and friendly, 3)Grounds and pool area very clean,4)Breakfast very good-rolls,cakes,coffee,orange juice, cereal etc,5) Only problem Old san Juan you have to take a cab and it is $18.00, Condado cab needed $10.00 can get costly, recommended renting a car-cheaper, 6)Location of Tres Palms for beach lovers like myself right across the street-Excellent! Would stay there again.
Good to visit

As a local tourist I found this place to be very well suited for anyone looking to have a nice vacation. This place is right infront of the beach so the view from the upper deck is spectacular as well as very romantic. The only problem is parking can sometimes be a challenge. All in all a great little place with great service. I found the love of my life here....
Nice to Visit

We recently spent one night at the Tres Palmas Inn before leaving on a cruise. The inn was as cute and clean as can be. Being a "mom and pop"operation made it just that much nicer. The staff showed us to our room, explained how to use the remote control AC (which was extremly quiet)and showed us around the premises. Everyone was always ready to help. They even offered to keep our luggage after check out while we went sight seeing. Yes, the street was noisy with music, but the inn operator can not control that ... we were just too tired to care. Compared to the high prices and "business only personality" establishments, the Tres Palmas was a great deal.
It's cute but I wouldn't return

Alright so I wanted a nice little quiet place to relax so I looked up little hotels and found Tres Palmas. So my family and I went to this cute little guest house. The ocean view is beautiful and the people are so nice. There's just one problem though. The street right in front of it is a shortcut from one place to another so a lot of people take it. Weekend evenings are not pleasant nights. People pass by with there horrible systems, blasting spanish rap and the sound is so loud that it literally shakes your windows. I was sleeping on a cot and I thought the AC and the TV were going to fall on my head. Also you have to park your car on the street and pray that you get a space during the night. Don't get me wrong the place is quiet and cute. But weekends are horrible. God bless you and take care.
