... visited the statue of liberty and central park zoo on my own. tbh, no offence to nick, i quite enjoyed my lone time, needed to be on my own and have a bit of freedom. i could do what i wanted!. so i fullfilled my role given to me by my bunk as the grandad of the group - went for a lovely stroll in the park for a bit and had posh nosh in central park with a splended live band. 'twas good.

tomorrow is the start of my trek, the next chapter. fun fun. im tired allready ...

... the island if you want to go to castle Williams you have to walk pass the abandon library if you don't you going the wrong way. Even tho castle William was a fort , it was changed into a prison to hold captures prisoners from the confederate army. They prison uniform was made from jean material , if you go in the cells when you first walk in , there's a gallery of facts about the castle & stuff to interact ...

So, in response to the challenge thrown down by Emily, that I totally didn't even initiate and certainly didn't encourage, I tried my 30 minute lap of central park yesterday. ... only about 18 thousand times. Nevertheless we had a bit of fun dodging Disney characters and advertisers for comedy clubs, gentlemens clubs and bars in general. Took in the sights, acted like tourists, took a few photos and gawked at the never ending display of adverts on all the screens.
