The Valley of the Beautiful Women
More time in Budapest would have been great, but we had already booked accommodation at our next stop. So we packed up our bags, said goodbye to the Black Sheep and headed to the train station. An awesome place, both the city and the hostel, we will miss it. Once again, we didnt time our arrival at the station quite right. Eger
Arrived in Eger today - a small town of ONLY 60,000 people. I should also mention that it was a balmy 38 degrees here - goodbye Melbourne winter, hello ridiculous tan line. Spent the day having a wander around the town (having pre and post lunch ice cream) before heading off to the Valley of Beautiful Women for wine tasting. The Basilica and The Library

Today I am finally over the jet lag and up at my usual time in the morning.
This morning we had an early breakfast and then headed over to the Basilica. The Basilica is pretty amazing and my words will not even come close to expressing just how amazing it is so i'm not even going to try! The fresco ceilings, marble columns, huge altar, is really something to see.
