... In the same street that dad lived, Ben found a modern textiles and design shop which we ducked into to have a look for an embroidered tablecloth. I have been wanting a white one with white embroidery for ages and Ben agreed to look with me here. The issue is that he is not so keen on the traditional style, and whilst it's not usually my taste I like the link with my heritage, this shop had the perfect solution; a 3.3 metre bolt of fabric with a modern pattern ...

... beds in the waiting lounges. So we availed ourselves of these resources and got some more sleep. Our flight to Budapest left right on time and to our great surprise we were taken in a bus to board the plane which was a 1950s propellor powered prop! Oh, it was like stepping back in time. The air hostesses (and they were air hostesses rather than flight attendants) even wheeled magazine racks down the aisle and served water in the 40 minute flight to Budapest! Eugene ...

... took a whole afternoon only because we got tired! We had a boat cruise up the Danube River and viewed the city by night.

Due to the fact it is Summer they have many music festivals everywhere and around the corner from our apartment we found one. They are very big meat eaters here especially sausages so we tried some and also these traditional cakes called 'chimney cakes' whilst we enjoyed the atmosphere.

... them eventually assumes a dictatorship. The good news is in 1956 they got rid of the communists and have done pretty good ever since.

We also bought a new bag for Digby, (after the bag handling incident of 2013) which is surprising like a body bag - might come in handy.
