KL was pleasant enough, but not that different to most other big cities: full of shiney shopping malls, skyscrapers and freeways. One noticeable exception was were the housing precincts. It was a little bit different though, you could catch a little boat on a canal that went right through the middle of the ground floor of a multi storey shopping centre. Apart from that it was just the usual shopping mall. We caught the train back and went to Little India. Lots of stalls and beautiful sari ...

... different restaurants in the outer suburbs of KL. We tried Malay, Chinese and Indian, so much food and good company, tried a lot of food and drink, wasn't allowed to order Diet Coke, guide said have to try local drinks which she ordered, there were some weird flavours. Overall it was well worth the money and we were really pleased we did it, even though it finished well past our bedtime, it's now after ...
