... imagine what that must have taken and how weather would have effected their crossing. Yesterday was our granddaughter's birthday. And we're not there .... Which bothers her nana. It began with a trip to gusleme. Ok, that's a tasty pancakey affair - but it includes a beach and if you've got fifty dollars, (pounds, euros or lira work), you can go tandem para gliding. Dropping down into Marmaris reveals blue water, a para glider, hotel lines and sand. The main drag is reminiscent ...

... fjords. Monte Carlo with a party flavour. I have attached several photographs which show this amazing place, which is truly not Turkish. Bars and nightclubs everywhere, alcohol on open display, only one mosque that I could see. To add to the beauty of the town, we were the only ship in port, hence it was not swarming with people. The Swedes took at trip up a river to some Roman ruins, said the beauty was breathtaking. We just relaxed and enjoyed the view from Deck 9 (Lido ...

... with me tonight, but unfortunately she was the first one to call it a night. I wish she had, for no other reason than that sitting under a starry night does call for some conversation with someone. As I look up at the stars in the sky and imagine the universe, I have two completely opposite feelings. I feel so one with the universe and so alone at the same time. I really don't know how to describe the feeling in words. ...
