... Liverpool was still a run down, grubby old port town full of derelict buildings. This may have been true once but today, wow it is such a beautiful port city, and the dock areas look amazing with the combination of old and new buildings. Many of those buildings are museums or art galleries and remarkably they and the other museums by the station are free to enter. Then we rush to Albert Dock & the Maritime Museum and they announce closing when we are there so I hightail it to the Titanic exhibits but luckily still had a half hour to quickly peruse.
