... excursion. Our tour was from 9:30 am to 1:30 pm, a cool part of the day. They were having a heat wave - it got up to 80F today!

The Gardens were as beautiful as I remember them from 16 years ago, the last time we were there. What more can I say - beautiful flowers, inspired landscaping, and wonderful people with whom to wander the Gardens!

A Walk along the Harbour

After getting off the coach from the Butchart Gardens, Mom and I decided to take a walk along the harbour. Mom and I always seem to make it down to the harbour at the end of the day. The harbour is very relaxing and helps us unwind after a long and busy day.

After walking around the harbour, Mom and I headed up Government Street to Chinatown. The Chinatown in Victoria is the oldest one in Canada - second oldest one in North America only to San Francisco.

... the roof one day saw the main pipe falling through and hitting the owner right on the head, killing him instantly. Now as if this wasn't tragedy enough, not long after this his son was driving his carriage on the road between the factory and their mansion-like house nearby, the one with the white turret & tower you can see among my historical houses tour photos.
