A couple of bear stories for you. The day after we left Jasper, a grizzly bear attacked a cyclist. He fell face first and the bear was on him mauling his backpack. Luckily for him he had a can of bearspray in his bag which went off frightening the bear away.

... plaque on it - remembering someone who has passed away. I would assume that a donation was made in a deceased person's name to pay for these benches. With each plaque, there was usually a little saying or a quote the person made while alive. I thought these benches were a great idea and you might notice some of the pictures I took of them - along with the plaques that were on them.
