... Mile 0 post which is the start of the Canada 1 highway from side to side over many thousand miles.

Arrived at the Royal Scot Hotel to be piped in by a blooming Bag piper. Too tired to do a fling for him.!!!

Only short walk (one block) from main harbour and all the shops etc so we have all day here tomorrow to explore.

Tomorrow we are catching the ferry to Van city!

We had all the trimmings, cranberry sauce, a yam dish, sauté brussel sprouts, roast vegetables and a bacon weave on the turkey. We were all extremely full and had a lot of left overs. A perfect first thanksgiving ...

... trip eastwards to meet up with the highway going north at Williams Lake. The ferry dates just about fitted but when we found out the fares they certainly didn’t! So we
won’t be driving up to Port Hardy after all but will likely drop in at Tofino on Vancouver Island’s Pacific coast for a day or two and then hop across to the BC mainland by ferry to drive along the so called Sunshine Coast route to connect with the route north up towards Williams Lake. ...
