... down towards the government buildings to see them lit up at night. Kind of reminded me of Main Street Disney World. Beautiful sight! Also, saw where the ferry station was, Blackball Ferry. Inquired as to the procedure for boarding and customs. Why get there 90 minutes early??? Guess pre-boarding and preliminary customs. Anyway, walked along the marina area and back to the hotel. Pleasant evening, great food, great company! On to Portland on Monday... or today as it really is! ...

... around the small food court that is set up for travelers. Before long we were pulling onto the boat and parking in the strange aquatic parking garage.

We wandered topside on the massive boat and explored the ship before our one and half hour journey to Vancouver Island. Back on the bus we headed to Butchart Gardens. We had 2 hours there which was only just enough. We went to the sunken garden first which was a limestone quarry which Mrs Butchart converted. Wow she did a good job!! We also saw the rose garden, the Italian garden,and the Japanese garden. There was a spectacular fountain with lots of different patterns happening with the water. The gift shop had lots of lovely things that we couldn't buy - too ...

... Wait Times. The UI is pretty ugly, but it seems to offer a lot more real-time data on each ride, which is the one thing missing from the other. Since it is free, more folks seem to be using it, thus the data is more accurate. I'll add an addendum on how that app worked.
