... status. When the Chinese entered Tibet, the Buddhusts retreated to the gateway of their beliefs. According to Ramesh, our guide, Buddhism first came through this area, so it i s consider the origin of the Tibetan Bhuddist. Sad to see so many gentle people displaced. We visited a Tibetan artist cooperative and art school, witnessing the most incredibly detailed painting technique. The artists were using one hair paint brushes!

... relaxed and jovial traditional Burmese dinner served family style. Tempora vegetables and soup was followed by a chicken curry (mild and rather sweet), a fish curry, rice and vegetable stir fry. Fresh fruit was the dessert. Wine and beer from Myanmar were served to those who wanted to try. I had a Myranmar beer and it was lovely, especially on such a warm evening.
