Our lovely host family here in Villa Nova are chatty and friendly, when we said we were meeting friends for lunch they suggested lots of lovely sounding places, one such place called Goa Spice was new, Paul and I went there for lunch and had a fish thali, wow! It consisted of; fish curry, spiced courgette, sweet coconut clams, lime pickle, rice, ...

Since we last put an update on this blog life has been moving at an ever increasingly slow and steady pace…and we’re both loving every idle minute of it. I think that it’s safe to say that we’ve reached an entirely new state of deep relaxation, and are both making up for the wear and tear that we’ve put our bodies through working at home, or at least that is our excuse for being so slothful right now!

The time has come to say goodbye to our beloved India! As we write this we're into our last 3 hours before jetting off to Thailand. India has been an adventure to say the least, the contrasts from each city are mad - especially going from Mumbai to Goa! This was the day to check out. The resort offers a complimentary pick up and drop service for a minimum 2 night stay and we just waited and then had the same white ambassador pick us up from the hotel and drive us to Thivim station. The nearest railhead is Thivim and it takes an hour to reach here from the resort. Thivim is a small station reachable by Konkan railway. An alternate route could also be by road to Belgaum in Karnataka.
