We had the best sleep of the whole trip last night, and didn't want to get up at all :-(.... But we had to, we were away at 8.30am and off to Mauthausen. (2 hour drive) Mauthausen is a massive Concentration camp. When we first arrive, we watch a 45min documentary on the concentration camp and some of the survivors. It was a pretty moving thing to watch. They interviewed survivors of the camp and also some of the US soldiers who were the first on the scene. It was pretty horrific ...

The bridge is busy with tourist but it is quite fun walking along as there are numerous buskers from violins to water glass players. There are also an abundance of artists trying to sell their wares. We meandered back towards the old square ...

We got a 'sliced potato stick' which was pretty much just crisps on a stick! Walked back to ...

... first home at 245 and we had a free day the next day, so a sleep in was in order. We were the first up in the morning out of our group. We decided to head out before our cruise and we did a little more gift shopping and climbed the astronomical clock. We had a fantastic view from here and took heaps of photos. We made it back to the bottom and joined up with our group to go on our boat trip. We had a buffet lunch with 3 drinks included for ...

... installed in 1410, making it the third-oldest astronomical clock in the world and the oldest one still working. Every hour the clock comes to life with its figurines moving as the time changes. Also located within the square is the elegant Gothic Church of our Lady before Tyn- which is especially impressive by night when it is illuminated by floodlights, St. Nicolas’ Church, Art Nouveau Municipal House which is the home to the ...
