It's tipping it down today. And I mean really tipping it down. Finally I can make proper use of my brolley and the rain cover for my rucksack. I even managed to take some nice pictures of a brook / stream running through Irvington on my way before I was suddenly concerned I might be late for my train. But fear not, I am early.

Last night I almost made it back to Irvington in one piece. But perhaps I should start from when we were ...

I can blame it on the jet-lag...so I will...

All went well in the archives today. Meg, my archivist is great. We had an amusing time filling in forms at the beginning of the day and she showed me the ropes.

All the way there was iconic views of the New York skyline. It ...

... around 6:30am - we do not have to deal with that climb first thing :) !! Ahhhhhh.....the sound of planes taking off and landing......will surely make the 5.5 hours of sleep peaceful tonight! Waking up early, got a good start to the 24 miles we are aiming for. Good things about hiking out early, cool temps, cool breeze, no sun, no other hikers. Bad things, trees/shrubs/ grass are wet, bugs - the biting ones, slippery rocks, and cob webs. Other thing I ...

Day #2 is done and what a day! Today we met at Riverdale Country School instead of Chelsea Piers. This will be our last day in the states We began our day with some fun physical activities like trying to move a hula hoop with one finger (a great team building activity) and "Giants, Wizards, and Elves" (a fun interactive game that also works on teamwork and reading body language.) Both activities got us out of our shells a ...
