    ... with Indy and I fast asleep he went for a look. The next morning he told me how amazing it was and that we had to stay awake so we could see it at night. The only disappointing thing about our time in New York was the crippling jet lag and the sickness, we really missed out on the evening events because we were ready for bed at 7pm!

    ... baseball.
    As soon as we got off the train you could tell it didn't appear to be a very pleasant area.
    Game was good, boys enjoyed it and we got to see a few home runs and catches. Yankees ended up winning in the 9th innings after trailing by 1 for quite a few innings.
    Was a good night and nearly midnight by the time we got back to our hotel.
    Sad news today that Joan Rivers passed away here in New York.

    ... walk around. We take pics of the Manhattan skyline from the island, then walk around Lady Liberty taking pics from various angles. Once we have satisfied ourselves that we have all the pics we line up again and board the boat back to the main land.

    Next stop for us is to walk to the Sep 11 memorial. Its a short walk from Battery Park. I visited the site 9 months after the event and I remember a very sombre occasion. The site which was previously boarded up has now been replaced ...

    By the end of this day I was exhausted and my feet were killing me in a way I cannot even describe. I have done lots of walking in my shoes before but this was unlike any other walk in that I think the concrete in NY is extra hard and actually reaches out and crushes your feet. It was so painful.
