Today we left Philly on a 10.15am Greyhound - Peterpan coach for NYC. The ride only took 2 hours and was reasonably comfortable. Touching down in NYC around half 12 where we caught the metro up to 103 st to our hostel, HI NYC. Completely different to our one in Philly, this was larger and less personal, whereas in Philly people chatted and free coffee was available. Only being here a few hours it's hard to comment, we've chatted to two Australian girls and another from the UK ...

... of the lucky ones to grab a registration spot! Wow!!

Patriots day, Monday, April 18, 2011 aka Marathon Monday. I headed with 3 members of my family to Boston, MA, USA for the race. A busy time for me as I was transitioning between quitting my job to move to grad school (oddly in Boston), moving from Seattle to Boston, running a marathon and headed to Peru to volunteer for 4 months (all within 1 week).

Well, it's past midnight and like a nana, I'm ready for bed! Watch this space for tomorrow's blog! Goodnight ...

... cars as well as still ones and has had over 30 million riders on it with never an accident. Cam and i went on the Cyclone, an original wooden roller coaster. Cam wasn't sure but we screamed our way around. After a few more various rides we found some food.

Once we had dinner the sun had gone down and the lights had come on, it was a different place bathed in bright shining lights.

Some very tired but happy kids went to bed tonight.

... there are a lot of good people in this big world we live in that even if you don't speak the same language, being a kind and genuine person is universal trait; real recognizes real. Which is why Tiff and I were able to make lasting friendships along our journey throughout Colombia.

I'm going to end by saying, this vacation for me was very liberating. Never get so consumed with your problems and things you may be going through that you forget to live your life. You are what ...
