... foot pain complaints. -Central Park: didn't get to spend much time there because we had to go to the nike store on the way on our last day. Literally the only greenery we saw in New York. -New York public library: got fooled initially by the small fake library used by locals just up the street. The real building is pretty neat and has a real old feeling to it. We literally just did a walk thru. Grand central station: it's huge. And old. We stopped and ate lunch on a ...

It is such a beautiful station with monumental spaces and meticulously crafted detail. It has been described as "the world's loveliest station".We walked down 5th Avenue which is like their equivalent of Oxford Street for shopping. I wanted to buy a new coat so we had ...

... huge greens leaves turning orange...shaking in the wind, and the smell of earth all about me. Tick! I grabbed a coffee and headed back in, for a shower and a bite, and Ilze and I were out the door for a day of exploring together. We headed straight to the south ferry, downtown manhattan. This ferry takes you to Staten Island at no cost, but the beauty is, you get to see the Statue of Liberty up close at NO cost, where as the ferry trip costs a bit. ...
