... all the way to Harlem, the above ground which is much better.

We were travelling up the Hudson River Valley. The river was hugely wide here with distant hills, and nice greenery. A creeper grows over the track-side trees. It was very cloudy and grey - not good for taking photos.

When the conductor clicked the tickets, he put them sticking up in a little pouch on the back of the seat. That way, ...

... of Williamsburg in gently falling picture book perfect snow. On thanksgiving day morning Sam and I sat out on our porch marvelling at the first snow of the season slowly drifting from the sky. All of it was positively enchanting. The kindness: So many lovely people in New York helped us out so much. For almost the entire duration of our stay friends offered up space on their couches, their beds, their hotel rooms, in one case even giving us their ...

... Charging Bull and walk along Wall Street. Was pretty quiet given it was Sunday, can imagine itd be a mad house during the week. We caught the free Staten Island Ferry from down town which takes you straight past The Statue of Liberty - such a cool monument and a bit surreal seeing it! Not much to see at Staten Island so headed back on the next ferry. Had lunch at ya classic American sports bar (Buffalo Wild Wings, 47th St). There was over 100 tvs with every football game being ...
