Today we went to Blenheim Palace. I had high expectations for this place but although it is indeed grand and the first impression is fantastic as the bus swung into the driveway -my words"Oh my God" but it was a little austere for my liking, the stonework inside reminded me of concrete . The gardens were impressive but not so much as floral gardens but as expansive golf course green grass for miles and wonderful very old trees , large lake etc.
