    ... Country Pub of the Year competition. We chatted to a couple of interesting chaps at the bar who were covered in tattoos.     ... they quite enjoyed their trip. Having woken up that morning at 3:30am, the Nathans were not up for any huge excursions. Nevertheless we still managed to attend a forty-five minute tour of Durham Castle. This was my third time on the tour, yet the castle never fails to impress. Furthermore, each guide has a unique take on the castle, telling different stories or emphasizing different parts. Thus, you never get the same tour twice.

    Well, the incredible weather has finally broken. We had quite a bit of rain overnight, and today we've had occasional showers (occasionally) all day - fortunately mostly when we've been driving.
