Bye bye Blankie
... was a beautiful day, the sun was shining and there wasn't much wind. So I walked around for about an hour before I found the mall in Basingstoke (surprise! Ashley shopping? Neverrrrrr... haha). It was quite big and was packed full of people trying to do their Christmas shopping. The only store worth mentioning is Primark, the store with the onesies. I bought a fleece reindeer onesie that has feet, a tail and a hood with reindeer horns on it! I went back to the flat happy to ...
What can I give this Christmas?
This year 6,657 Christmas shoeboxes were donated to The Trussell Trust for distribution in Bulgaria. This is another record and a reminder that there are a lot of you out there that really care about others much less fortunate than yourselves. It had moats with water and proper portcullises and drawbridges. Best thing was that there were signs rather than audio guides, and we were free to roam. Met a Welshman who taught us how to pronounce some Welsh. Bought £1 shampoo from Poundland (way better than our $2 ...
Go west Mann - to the countryside
What a great day! Got up and was off to Paddington to get my train to Hungerford. How amazing to see that just 15 minutes out of London(allbeit on a fast train) you hit farm land and the countryside. Everything is so green and lush.
Jane and Mrs Zipp were there to fetch me at the station. At last I got to see them, (they had been due to spend time with me in Umhlanga but the flood......another story!).
It was market day and we went first to the ...
